Wela Review
Wela, a network marketing company that sells a health and wellness product, was founded in 2009 by John Penny (Chief Executive Officer), Ryan Burgard (Chief Marketing Officer) and Mark Gullett, (Chief Technical Officer). The company is based in Springfield, Missouri and has strong credentials due to the years of network marketing experience of its founders. John used to be a former top income earner at Vemma, a mangosteen juice network marketing company. His goal was to do much better than his former company and although the Wela business still shows a few limitations, he managed to build a trustworthy company that has a lot to offer.
Wela The Product: SlimBerry
Wela distributes a nutritional supplement called SlimBerry. SlimBerry is a weight-loss supplement mostly made of the world famous açai berry with anti-aging benefits, antioxidant protection and disease prevention qualities. It also contains several vitamins and minerals like Zeolites and Vitamin D, which aids in immune system support. Other berries that are to be found in the SlimBerry beverage are the maqui berry and the moringa, which has been used in Indian history as a very powerful medicine. The SlimBerry juice is, based on the ingredients, a high-quality product. Some of the health benefits of the Slimberry Supplement are fat loss, increased energy level, increased muscle strength and detoxification. It’s impossible to judge the quality of SlimBerry in comparison with the Vemma products, but one thing that is in Wela’s disadvantage is the high price of $49,95 per bottle of SlimBerry.
Besides the high-quality product, what else has Wela to offer to the world? If you join Wela, you will have to pay $49.95. The cost of joining the business is the price of the products the member chooses, so in practice enrolment is free of charge. Wela also provides full access to a marketing system and website, an auto-responder and free marketing training.
Wela Compensation Plan
Similar to the binary compensation plan of Vemma, John chose to design another binary compensation plan with 65% payout for his new company. The compensation plan provides 5 ways to get paid. For a short overview of the compensation plan, click here.
Fast Start Bonus: $16 on every sale.
Preferred Customer Bonus: $10 on every sale.
Team Cycle Bonus: a team bonus based on the binary compensation plan with an earning of $6 or 15% on the lesser leg.
Generation Matching Check: a 25% matching bonus based on 1st en 2nd generation cycles of Silver Sponsors.
Global Bonus Pool: a 2% global bonus pool paid out to high qualified distributors.
Conclusion:
Wela offers a high-quality product and mostly for that reason the company will grow in amount of distributors and customers. The only disadvantage the product has is the high price. There are a lot of other products that are just as good as their açai drink, some are maybe even better, while being almost the half cheaper.
The company has a strong binary compensation plan with a total payout of 65%. (cf. Vemma has a 50% payout on commissionable volume). It seems to me that Wela has made a much more easy to understand and more profitable compensation plan than Vemma. Some Vemma distributors have already left the company for that reason, but Wela is still a very young company and we will see in the years to come if it’s possible to make a substantial amount of money as a rep.
