Did you ever wonder if you can create a professional website by yourself and for only a few bucks a month? If so, then I want you to pay close attention to what I’m going to show you. It will blow your mind at how simple creating and managing your own website can be.

In this blog post you’re going to discover how to create your own professional website and how to do this in only 10 minutes, without technical skills and for only pennies a day.

If you think you have to call your web designer every time you want to make updates or changes to your site, you’re wrong. I’m going to prove you that you don’t need to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a web designer, programmer or graphic designer.

I’m going to show you the step-by-step process I go through every time I create a professional website. You won’t believe how simple it is. I said simple, because yes it will cost you some time and most of all effort to learn.

Fact: You Don’t Need A Web Designer To Create A Professional Website

I hate to say it, but if you think that a professional website costs hundreds of dollars each year you have been lied to. Here are the 4 main lies that some web designers tell you:

Lie number 1: you have been told that you need to hire a web designer. You have probably already requested a few quotes or asked around. If you haven’t yet, I can safely say you’re probably looking at spending hundred or maybe even thousands of dollars.

Lie number 2: you have been told that building a website is very technical, so you have been a little afraid to try it yourself. And you probably have no idea of even where to begin.

Lie number 3: you have been told that building a website can take weeks or months. I mean, with all that programming, uploading, configuring, testing and creating graphics I can see how one might think so.

Lie number 4: you have been told that you need to call your web designer every time you need a minor (or even major) change done to your website. I can tell you that this simply isn’t true.

The Next 3 Steps Will Show You How To Create A Professional Website Yourself

Step 1: Find A Hosting Company And Purchase A Hosting Plan

First, you need to find a hosting company and purchase a Web Hosting Plan. If you for instance choose for Hostgator.com (see picture below, click to enlarge), you can get their hatchling plan where you can host 1 website. (single domain) If you are serious and want to create multiple websites, you’ll need the baby plan.

There are many different hosting companies out there and each has its advantages. I like Hostgator because they have a great support service.

Step 2: Install A Website Platform

After purchasing your hosting plan, you’ll receive a link to your control panel (Cpanel).

Go into your control panel and install a platform that suits you best. (see pictures below) I prefer WordPress. It’s the most popular platform, search engine friendly and easy-to-use.

Step 3: Log Into Your Platform Backoffice And Get To Work

Once you have installed it correctly, you’ll receive a username and password that you need to log into your WordPress backoffice. The backoffice login page url will look like this: http://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/.

After logging in you’ll see the main page of your backoffice (see picture above). Now you can get to work and start to create a professional website by yourself. That’s really all there is to it. Maybe you already know WordPress and ask yourself “but I don’t want a blog”.

No problem, if you would like to build a static website, go to “Settings”, “Reading” and select the page you want to use as home page. (see picture below)

Why You Want To Create A Professional Website Yourself

You can of course also get a free website (like with Weebly.com) or blog (like with Blogger.com or WordPress.com) without having your own domain name. However, I encourage you to get a hosted WordPress blog with a domain name, because it’s professional and you have many more options. (like a hosted email address and WordPress Plugins for instance)

Now you have seen that it really doesn’t cost much to create your own professional website. Moreover, you have full control over everything you do. There are also hundreds of tutorials online that explain the WordPress menus. There’s no secret course for you to buy. You only have to follow the steps above to create a professional website by yourself.

With some many people having access to the internet who are in a position to make money online, it’s almost impossible that you have never been confronted with online marketing failure. I mean, everybody knows at least one person who says to have tried to make money online, but it didn’t work out right? If you’re an internet marketing newbie and would like to know how you can protect yourself from online marketing failure, then this blog post is for you.

How To Protect Yourself From Online Marketing Failure

Don’t get discouraged when you hear more stories of failure than actual online marketing success. The most important thing is that you learn how to transform past failures into current success.

The following list is an overview of things that you need to know if you want to protect yourself from online marketing failure.

6 Things That Will Protect You From Online Marketing Failure

Sometimes people are flashing checks or posting pictures of dollar bills online in order to get your attention. Realize that no matter how big their pay check is there will never be a guarantee that you will make the same amount of money. There are many different things that influence your income: work, timing, consistency, skills, motivation… so shouting out loud that you made 1 billion dollar in just a week thanks to this “secret marketing strategy” won’t get you anywhere either.

Being professional has nothing to do with making loads of money, but with your attitude and integrity. People consider you as a professional when you can teach them more about your service, product or online marketing in general.

When people ask you for a risk-free way to make money (online), you can only tell them that any type of business includes a certain risk. The only risk-free way to make money is by having a very rich family and inheriting a fortune. If you’re not prepared to take risks, then a business is not something for you. And by the way: even at your job, you can get fired.

Understand that when you’re marketing a product or service as an affiliate, distributor or representative of another company (online or offline), you basically don’t have any rights. There’s no labor union or government to defend you. So it’s very important to read the terms and conditions of your membership before getting started.

Sometimes you will have to adjust your game plan simply because the internet is dynamic. If you can’t handle change well, then online marketing is surely not for you. You have 2 choices when you’re running an online business: complain about the changes and let your business die slowly or react to those changes and turn them into your advantage.

Sometimes you hear internet marketing newbies say that internet marketing is only for people with a lot of experience. There are many people with so-called experience who have been trying to make money online for 10 years, but hardly made anything. It’s not about the years of experience, but the amount of time and work you put in. The more time you spend on studying this industry and then implementing what you are learning, the faster you will make money online. Online marketing failure is impossible when you have no excuses.

So if you get started in online marketing, you have to set your expectations appropriately. I have said this a million times before: your expectations are the key to success. If you’re just getting started with running and want to run a marathon one week later, you will fail. You have to set a goal that is achievable, make a plan and implement it step by step.

How To Deal With Negativity On The Internet

Secondly, you have to understand that the internet itself is a fantastic way to connect with people, share information and make money. The most important thing is that you learn how to deal with the things that are going on the internet. Negativity is everywhere; not only on the internet. Don’t let negativity stand in your way to personal growth and become a better person.

If You Believe That Online Marketing Is About You, Online Marketing Failure Will Be The Outcome

Sometimes people make the biggest mistake possible by thinking that it’s all about them. The truth is that online marketing is all about offering the things that the marketplace needs. Internet marketers use the internet to share information, services or products that solve people’s problems.

Another well-known reason for online marketing failure is not focusing on own success. Sometimes online marketers spend so much energy on trying to discredit another product or business that they hardly focus on what their own business venture needs to succeed.

I’m personally very grateful that I discovered online marketing, because it gave me the opportunity to help other people and be someone of value. If you have an example of how you protected yourself from online marketing failure, please feel free to share it on this blog.

Purchasing an exact matching domain name is probably the most logical step when you want to create a website, but at the same time the most overlooked one. Firstly, a domain name has to be easy to remember, so that potential customers find their way back easily. And secondly, search engines have to recognize your domain name as being important in relation to the product or service your website is offering.

SEO: The Industry Of Gurus

Last week something happened to one of my websites, which turned into a great example for a case study. Most self-proclaimed marketing gurus make case studies of hundreds to thousands of sites and then claim to have found the magic egg of SEO. Their final step then is to sell some kind of a course or software that will turn you into a millionaire. 99% of their course is usually just the same information that has been chewed over for many years with a few “secret loopholes”.

However, the main SEO rules for a blog or website will never change:

Your blog: post useful content and share it with people who also have the opportunity to share it with others.

Your sales website: build a well-targeted website that’s user-friendly towards potential customers or business partners.

Case Study Of An Exact Matching Domain Name

In the world of SEO online marketing gurus have turned selling information products based on overhyped studies into a sport. I’m not here to judge their practices or bring down the entire internet marketing industry. Internet marketing is one of the few industries in which ordinary people can turn a few bucks into a full-time income. This short and simple case study will show you that there are no “internet marketing secrets” at all. Making money online is simply a maths exercise that requires you to devote time on research and work.

Suddenly My Exact Matching Domain Name Website Started To Make Sales

Check out the image below. My resource code says 4 sales out of 208 page views. (this means that 208 people who visited the website also click through to the sales page of the product) On top you can see that I made a lot more money with this product. However, those conversions were all coming from 2 other sites and marketing strategies.

The site that I’m talking about in this case study is www.buyskinnyfiberpills.com. My only intention was to rank that site for the exact keyword “buy Skinny Fiber”. Because my other 2 websites lost their ranking after the Google panda and penguin updates, I decided to create this website and never touch it again. I have never built a backlink and also didn’t purchase traffic for it. I basically did what people without online marketing experience do: nothing and hope it will make money.

I’ve had the website since November 2012 and it had never made a sale up till now. It used to be ranked on page two on Google or sometimes even page 3 for the keyword that I had in mind. Then something changed last week… that exact matching domain name website suddenly made 4 sales.

So I opened my Google Analytics and noticed that my traffic is increasing. While in the first months I mostly only had like 1 or maximum 5 visitors a day, the past week the traffic went up to 15 per day. You may think that 15 visitors per day means nothing, but remember that these 15 visitors are specifically looking to “buy Skinny Fiber”. (my keywords)

Now it was time to check my ranking on Google. (see picture below) The site had now taken place number 3 for the keywords “buy Skinny Fiber”. Knowing that it used to be on page 2 or even 3 for many months, I even suspect that if I just sit and wait it might go all the way up to number 1.

So what caused this fantastic jump? It certainly wasn’t me. The only thing I did was purchase an exact matching domain name, create the site and make sure that my on-page SEO (the content, titles, structure and meta tags of my website) was okay. Maybe all of the other sites have been punished for doing something wrong, but that’s very unlikely.

The way I see it, search engines are now happy to see consistent sites. So any website that is receiving back links that are unnatural or inconsistent (because of building spam links for instance) will find it hard to compete against high-quality sites.

For the first time in those 6 months I even have returning visitors on that website. This is very important because it means that people are remembering the website (or the exact matching domain name). So whenever they feel like ordering the product (or ordering it for the second time), they will visit this website to do it.

I already mentioned before that I also have 2 other specific sites that sell the same product and also target the same keywords. One was on page 3 (see below) and I have done quite some back linking to that website in the past. By the way, you can also see links to other pages of my case study website. All those pages are also to be found on the first 3 pages.

The website that I’ve worked the hardest on is only on page 10 for the same keywords. (see below) It’s the oldest website and even includes a blog with more than 15 articles. I’ve been doing SEO campaigns for it for many months during its first year; building hundreds to thousands of backlinks each month. It has been a while since I last checked, but the website even used to be on page 15 after the Google penguin and panda algorithm change.

Let’s go back to the exact matching domain website

This little site only costs me $15 a year. (the price of the domain name) I have never paid for traffic, never put any time into promoting it and also never paid anyone to promote it.

When it makes 4 sales a week I earn 4 times $50 (sales commission are $25 up to $75 depending on the size of the order). That makes $200 a week, which is $800 per month.

You may be thinking that it’s still not a full-time income, but remember that this is just 1 site and 1 product! And furthermore, besides online product sales, there are many other ways to make money in the home based business industry.

Of course there’s a chance that in a few months it will lose its rankings again. The fact still remains that you simply can’t rely on search engines only to build an online marketing business. This case study shows how simple it can be to make money online, but at the same time that it takes patience and knowledge.

The most important thing that I’ve learned from this case study is that an exact matching domain name will always be extremely important when you’re selling a brand name product.

When you’re starting in the internet marketing industry, it’s important to understand that your online marketing behaviour will determine your success. Online marketing is not just about promoting something online and working hard for it. The most important thing is to learn the rules of online marketing while applying successful online marketing behavior.

Why Successful Online Marketing Behavior Is Important

I haven’t written a blog post in a while mostly due to my stay at the Johns Hopkins Medicine hospital in Baltimore. I was actually glad to be totally offline for a while. The online world can be pretty stressful sometimes. Almost everyone who’s marketing on the internet always seems to want something from you right?

The truth is that I don’t want anything from you. In fact, I don’t even ask you to read this blog post. Unfortunately, too many people see the internet as an easy way to get what they want. (while you have to learn how to give what other people want)

Welcome home…

After being back from Baltimore I opened Skype and noticed that I had over 20 new spam messages. But it doesn’t stop there. The past few days, even after clearly posting statuses asking not to spam me, I kept receiving more spam.

Some of the spam messages promoted ponzi schemes while others were marketing weight-loss products. As if I would be interested in trying out a weight loss product while I’m ready to start a new hormone therapy to tackle my 12-year-old chronic disease? That’s probably the worst targeted marketing I have ever encountered.

Successful Online Marketing Behavior Means Targeted Behavior

Rule number 1 in marketing: you have to know your potential customer before you approach him or her. Timing is also another important factor. Many people who are active online just join deals to be the first one in and then blast their link out to everyone they know. This has nothing to do with timing at all. The business opportunity also has to make sense to your prospect.

Spamming Is The Worst Type Of Online Marketing Behavior

Yes, it’s funny to see that some people still seem to believe that spam works. However, I don’t want to criticize or judge them. It’s just a fact that there are nicer and better ways to promote online.

How many people like the Jehovah’s Witnesses? Not many and most of it has to do with their aggressive way of selling their beliefs door-to-door. I didn’t ask for them to ring my bell and talk BS. So of course, they are making a very bad first impression on me then. The Jehovah’s Witnesses-approach doesn’t work and certainly not on the internet!

Let’s go through some examples of unsuccessful and successful online marketing behavior.

Unsuccessful Online Marketing Behavior:

Never send people links that they didn’t ask for. Most people also don’t like the endless advertising in their mailbox, so the same thing applies online.

Never say that “you are not an online marketer” and that you only share this opportunity with a few friends. With statements like these you immediately lose your posture. Why would someone want to join you when you admit that you aren’t a professional?

Never promote an opportunity when you don’t even know what it’s all about. There’s nothing more pointless than selling a product or service without knowing it by heart.

There’s a big chance that you recognize some of this unsuccessful online marketing behavior in yourself. We all make mistakes in the beginning (for the rest of our lives actually) and it’s nothing to feel bad about. Just remember that marketing is never about you; it’s about enticing people to join a movement or purchase a product.

Successful Online Marketing Behavior

First ask people if they can use the service or product that you offer. When they say yes, then you can tell them to go check it out. The more people you help, the more your business will grow.

When you use online presentations, you have to make sure that they clearly explain the opportunity, product or service. Good presentations are the core of online business.

You don’t need to talk for hours to inform people if you’re doing business online. However, it’s important that once your prospects have seen your presentation and training videos you are able to answer their questions.

Listen to what people have to say. Learn to understand their reasons for why they aren’t interested in your service or product. Even when they aren’t interested, they can provide you with important information that you can use in the future.

Just like in real life, people treat you online in the same way that you treat them. So if you’re online marketing behavior is selfish and disrespectful, you won’t achieve a lot on the internet.

Please feel free to share some personal experiences of unsuccessful or successful online marketing behavior in the comment section of this blog post.

Every day people who are making (economical) policy decisions are being inundated with forecasts of rapidly emerging phenomena. Here are just a few of them: the table and smartphone that eventually would become the dominant retail method, the physical store that is disappearing, the increasingly important role of social media as a shopping platform for the next generation of young shoppers…

We simply can’t ignore the fact that all of these things are happening or already happened and therefore should protect our businesses by adapting to all the latest trends.

However, I believe that there are also several myths about the online shopper that need to be invalidated. The internet industry has become huge and will keep growing, but it’s important to really understand how the industry is evolving. How are you, for example, going to target your potential customers if you don’t know what their online behavior is?

In this blog post I summarized the 10 myths about “the online shopper” explained in a new report named “Demystifying the online shopper: 10 myths of multichannel retailing” (research by PwC). The report is based on a survey of more than 11,000 online shoppers in 11 countries and invalidates 10 myths about ”the online shopper”.

10 Myths About “The Online Shopper”

Myth 1: Social media will soon become an indispensable retail channel.

On its own, social media isn’t likely to become an important retail channel anytime soon. But it’s becoming more popular every year and it’s driving more shopping across all channels, not just online ones.

Myth 2: Stores will become mainly showrooms in the future.

Many multichannel shoppers say they research online, but more still prefer to buy products at a physical store.

Myth 3: The tablet will soon overtake the PC as the preferred online shopping device.

Shoppers are still overwhelmingly using their PCs to shop online. Tablets and smart phones won’t catch up any time soon, but they may become more important for other parts of the purchase journey.

Myth 4: As the world gets smaller, global consumers are getting more alike.

Although consumers shop with more global retailers than ever before, as well as shop online across borders, there are a wide range of local differences in consumer behaviors.

Myth 5: China is the future model of online retail.

China is at the forefront of some key trends, but we believe its multichannel and online model is unique.

Myth 6: Domestic retailers will always have a “home field” advantage over global retailers.

Foreign retailers are making inroads intro consumers’ lists of favorite multichannel retailers.

Myth 7: Global online pure players like Amazon will always have a scale advantage over domestic online pure players.

Many domestic online pure players are holding their own.

Myth 8: Retailers are inherently better positioned than brands, as they are closest to the customer.

Consumers are shopping directly from manufacturers and many no longer distinguish between retailers and their favorite brands.

Myth 9: Online retail is cannibalising sales in other channels.

Consumers are actually spending more with their favorite multichannel retailers, not just shifting some purchases to a different channel.

Myth 10: Low price is the main driver of customer spend at favorite retailers.

Customers value quality innovative brands over price when shopping at their favorite multichannel retailers.

How To Attract “The Online Shopper”?

I personally believe that this report once again proves that it’s important to combine online and offline marketing. Furthermore, mobile shopping will certainly become more and more important. The most successful businesses of today inform their customers online and provide them with a method to make their purchase(s) either online or at the physical shop.

When it comes to promoting their products or services, businesses need to understand that there’s a multitude of marketing strategies available. The online shopper expects you to inform him and offer good deals, so your marketing strategy will have to focus on these things.

Every once is a while someone asks me how to make a lot of money from home fast and easily. In most cases, the only thing they are looking for is a get-rich-quick scheme that doesn’t require them to do any work. If you’re someone who expects other people to take them by the hand and lead them to financial heaven, then I suggest you to leave my blog.

In this blog post I described 18 things that millionaires do to remind us that it’s just not all about making money. If you want to live a financially free life, you’ll need a particular mindset plus the intention to do this for yourself.

18 Things That Millionaires Do That You Should Too

1. He spends less money than he earns.

2. He knows that patience is a virtue and that you don’t become a millionaire overnight. He accumulated his wealth through decades by saving money.

3. He lives in an average house and drives an average car. Maybe you think he’s cheap, but he doesn’t care. The modern millionaire even wears a t-shirt and shorts.

4. He pays his expensive with his credit card monthly. He knows that when he can’t pay cash for something, he actually can’t afford it.

5. He knows that money doesn’t buy happiness. He who seeks nirvana must detach himself from financial concerns.

6. He never forgets that financial freedom is a state of mind that is achievable by everybody, at the condition that you are dept-free.

7. He’s not afraid to do two jobs. It keeps him busy and gives him less time to spend money.

8. He knows that money is like a toddler. It can’t take care of itself. How can money multiply itself without a form of genius money management?

9. He always pays himself first. That way he’s being obliged to adhere to financial discipline.

10. Although you can become rich by doing something that you don’t like, he asks himself why you would do that. Life is just too short.

11. Not planning anything means planning for nothing. Millionaires don’t become millionaires just like that. Saying that you want to become a millionaire doesn’t suffice.

12. He thinks big every time he sets financial goals. Financial success requires a vision that is far greater than what you can achieve. You usually don’t become a millionaire by accident.

13. He understands that hard work compensates for the financial mistakes you make. And there will be financial mistakes.

14. He insures himself against setbacks that lurk around every corner: the death of a partner or breadwinner, divorce, disability…

15. Time is the ally of the young. He started saving at twenty years old and benefited from its maximum accumulated capital as he grew older.

16. You never spend what you don’t have on hand. Month after month he blocks money in savings accounts. As he makes more money, he increases the amounts that he puts aside every month.

17. He’s not impressed by his neighbor who drives a big car and a house that’s too big for him and his family.

18. After asking you to give his lawn mower back for the past six months with no result, he simply buys another one; without rancor, because he can afford it.

But I Don’t Have Any Money…

I always have to laugh when people say that they don’t have money to start a home based business while they have the newest Iphone, a car and too many clothes for all Milanese models combined. I’m not judging anyone here, but there are plenty of people on this planet who have absolutely nothing.

After all, it all comes down to two things: expenditure and income and your expectations. Okay, it are actually three things. Whenever someone asks me now how they can make a lot of money fast, I’ll let them read this blog post. And remember, when someone tells you that it’s impossible, it’s usually just he who thinks it’s impossible. But you are you and only you can make your own decisions.

To be honest, learning how to generate targeted traffic for your website has become quite confusing for a beginning internet marketer. During the early days of the internet’s existence it were mostly the early adopters who really knew how to optimize a website and drive targeted traffic to websites (and keep it).

But at the end of the 1990’s internet giants like Google started to emerge. Their vision to become multi billion dollar companies was based on internet traffic. These companies quickly understood that the combination of advertising and traffic would turn people into internet billionaires. The ugly truth is that some of these companies (like Google with their algorithm changes) can destroy your business in an instant. Every time Google changes their search algorithm many websites (and people/businesses) are being hurt.

Why You Want To Generate Targeted Traffic For Your Website

There are hundreds to thousands of these internet companies on the internet nowadays. All of them have something to do with generating traffic in the form of software, an affiliate marketing program or an online service. Internet traffic is actually a product that businesses need to sell products or services. There are even job descriptions like “Traffic Manager” nowadays. Their main task is to generate targeted traffic for the company website. The corporate world finally understood that online marketing has to be an integral part of a general marketing strategy.

Some people still believe that it’s the advertising that is making people online billionaires. However, the more traffic you can generate, the more advertising money will be coming in. Just like a television network that wants more viewers, so that they can charge their clients a higher advertising cost, websites and businesses want more traffic (viewers) so that they can make more money.

These are the reasons why generating traffic means big business:

the internet never stops growing, it’s the fastest growing industry on the planet

there are more players on the internet than ever before, all trying to make money

the more people and companies are specializing in generating traffic, the more different strategies there are available

the more strategies there are, the more complicated it becomes for the average Joe (someone has to pay for it if he doesn’t want to work for driving traffic to his website)

So if you want to generate targeted traffic for your website, you’ll have to pay for it…

With Facebook surpassing Google in amount of traffic, it’s quite obvious that generating traffic has become more comprehensive than just optimizing your search engine ranking. You can spend 7 days a week on search engine optimization campaigns and eventually come to the conclusion that it’s an impossible task.

But does this mean that paying for traffic is now “the way to go?” No, I don’t think it does. Nevertheless, everyone is trying to find great strategies to monetize the traffic. Another example is the sponsored links (see image below) that are appearing in your Facebook newsfeeds now. Besides the regular advertising on the right, this is another way to make money for Mark Zuckerberg.

You might think that if Facebook keeps focusing on their advertising campaigns, they will eventually destroy their own money producing tool (social network site). But on the other hand: how many people have been complaining about advertising on television for many years, but are still watching?

So of course these advertising campaigns will still keep making Facebook a lot of money. They really don’t need to go public at all to increase their revenue. That was just another branding strategy.

But Jens, I don’t wish to pay to generate targeted traffic… what can I do?

Don’t get me wrong. Paid traffic works if you do it right. Nonetheless, let’s assume that your marketing budget is 0 dollars and you want to do everything yourself instead of outsourcing the task.

Your first option is to spend many hours on building links by hand. The more links you build, preferably on high-quality websites that generate a lot of traffic, the more link juice will pass to your site. You can write blog comments, do forum marketing, write articles for other blog owners… in short, you can do a lot and it can cost you a lot of valuable time. So it’s far from the best strategy.

If you don’t want to pay to generate targeted traffic and also are extremely lazy, you really have only one option: natural linking. Natural linking means that you create great content and/or high-quality websites that people appreciate. As a result, they will build natural links to your website(s) (to that particular content). Social media has also made it possible for those people to share your content. It’s obvious that this will always remain the most solid link building strategy on the internet.

Things to keep in mind when creating a site/content:

Unique content: if you’re a blogger or doing video marketing, I don’t have to explain to you that unique content is important. Sharing personal experiences is usually the way to go here.

Inner linking: to keep your visitors on your site and improve the quality of your site, you need to do inner linking. The links on Wikipedia are the perfect example of inner linking. I don’t believe that there are many people who only visit that one particular page when arriving on a Wikipedia page.

Professional layout and user-friendly design: people are pickier than ever before and also have more choices. So if you’re site is not of high-quality, you don’t stand a chance against the better sites.

Social network bookmarking: if you’re site doesn’t have social bookmarking buttons, not many people will share it on social network sites. (natural linking)

Mobile marketing strategy: M-Commerce is without a doubt the next big thing that will help businesses to generate targeted traffic. If you’re business isn’t prepared for it, it will miss out on a lot of easy profit.

I understand that the many different strategies to generate traffic for your website can overwhelm you. However, because of the limitless opportunities I believe that you have to see the positive side of the fast evolution of the internet.

Of course you have a lot to learn nowadays. Hopefully this blog post thought you a little bit more about how to generate targeted traffic for your website, so that you can now go and drive traffic in peace.

When the website link is promoted via social media, the affiliate is given 5 traffic hits per click. This traffic may then be used by the affiliate to qualify panels after it has been allocated to a specific colour using the manage traffic tab under traffic bank.

All traffic in the bank must be allocated at the same time, and may not be reallocated.

Incentive Traffic:

Banners Broker will award affiliates with Incentive Traffic when they fulfill tasks (eg. blogs, video testimonials, surveys), which may then be used by the affiliate to qualify panels after it has been allocated to a specific colour using the manage traffic tab under traffic bank. All traffic in the bank must be allocated at the same time, and may not be reallocated.

Amount of incentive traffic varies depending on each task and criteria developed by Banners Broker.

Content Management Console will manage your blog and video submissions.

Please note roll-up credits will now be included in this traffic bank.

4. Traffic Bank

The Traffic Bank will now be separated into 4 categories:

Sales Credit Bank:

Traffic Pack Bank

Organic Traffic Bank

Incentive Traffic Bank (will include roll-up traffic)

Traffic Allocation

In order to use your Traffic Pack, Organic or Incentive traffic you must first allocate them to a specific colour. To do this, click on Manage Traffic under the Traffic Bank tab and choose the type of traffic you would like to use. In the case of Traffic Pack traffic, you must first activate a traffic pack before allocating. To do this, simple click the check-box beside the subscription(s) you would like to activate and press the Activate Selected button.

Once this is done, you will be able to allocate traffic to a specific colour by entering the amount you would like to use in the space provided (see below). You may allocate any amount of traffic to any colour, so long as all of the traffic is allocated.

Once all of the traffic has been allocated, the Confirm button will become visible and you may click it to finish the allocation process. Once traffic has been allocated to a colour it may not be reallocated.

5. Qualification

Once traffic has been allocated to a specific colour, you may use it to qualify your panels. Before clicking the Qualify Panel button on your panel, you must first decide which type of traffic you would like to use. To do this, check either the Full check-box to select one of the traffic types or two of the Half check-boxes to select two different traffic types.

If you check the Full check-box, all of the traffic used to qualify the panel will come out of that selected bank.

If you check two Half check-boxes, half of the traffic used to qualify the panel will come out of the first selected bank, and the other half will come out of the second.

See below for further clarification.

After panel qualification, you will see the following changes:

In this blog post you’ll learn the 5 steps that are required to create a sales website for your business. The internet is growing into the easiest way to sell products and make profit, but unfortunately not all businesses are successful online. Many businesses have a website nowadays, but no turnover at all. The truth is that you can make about any type of business successful online (if you know how to do it).

This is not a technical blog post about how to create a sales website for your business. Building your own website is actually the easiest thing there is. Get a hosting plan and a domain name and install WordPress. This way, you don’t even have to know anything about HTML. You can blog thanks to WordPress, but at the same time you can use this platform to build websites with static pages only.

Why You Should Create A Sales Website

When the internet got started in the 90’s, it only existed of a few thousand pages. Some people have heard of the internet, but only a few had an internet connection. Something new is in many cases expensive and many people also don’t really like changes.

I remember when I was 14 or 15 years old (we were not part of the early adopters), we had a connection through the phone line and every time you dialled in the modem made this funny noise. During the first years of internet history, the internet wasn’t really attractive. It was expensive, slow and too innovative and complicated for some people. (my dad even Googled his email address in order to read his emails )

Nowadays, there are almost 360 million internet users and that number keeps growing every day. Moreover, the E-Commerce industry is growing like crazy, expecting to grow into a 228 billion $ market in 2016. (USA market only) Imagine what will happen when more and more people worldwide gain access to the internet.

In short, when you create a sales website for your business and learn how to work with it, you can only be successful. There are millions of people waving with their credit card at you and your business. Making money on the internet is easy, but this doesn’t mean that you’re not required to work hard.

5 Tips To Create A Sales Website For Your Business

1. Identify your potential customers

Online business requires a detailed identification of your target market, simply because the internet is being used to look for products or services.

When you have an offline shop, your customers usually buy because they are used to make their purchases there. When people make an online purchase, it’s mostly because they were looking for a specific product or service.

2. Branding

Branding is the most important (online) marketing method out there. Think Coca-Cola, Apple or Microsoft… these brands are worldwide being recognized. Paris Hilton is another example of successful branding. She’s actually the product of exposure (Reality TV). She has never even been a productive member of society, but still she managed to sell herself. Then she used her name (brand) to sell other stuff (perfume for instance).

You probably don’t have a marketing budget to do the same thing as these companies or you’re not the famous daughter of a multi-millionaire. However, there are online marketing techniques like blogging, social media and video marketing to brand your website and business.

The thing that I find very important about branding is that your website has a catchy domain name that people remember (like Amazon.com for instance). There’s a reason why many musicians use aliases. If it’s unpronounceable, it probably won’t sell well.

3. Traffic

Traffic, traffic, traffic… it’s the holy grail of internet marketing. Without traffic (you as the internet user), there wouldn’t even be internet. Without traffic there’s also no way for you to make money online.

The biggest mistake you can make when you decide to create a sales website for your business is learning how to generate traffic while your website is still under construction. Design, lay-out, user-friendliness… it’s all important. But the most important thing before you learn more about internet traffic is tip number 4.

4. List Building

“The money is in the list” is what online marketers always say. However, most of the money is in the degree of loyalty of that list. You can have a huge list, but if it has no customer retention at all, it won’t really make a difference.

In order to build a loyal following, you’ll need to prove your list that you can deliver. This is the only way to gain enough trust to get the list to make purchases. People will only trust you when you have proved to be knowledgeable regarding your industry. If would like to build a big list, you’ll also have to learn how to grab and keep your website visitor’s attention.

5. Boost your conversions

Once you have created your sales website for your business and learned more about the 4 things that you absolutely need to do, (identifying your target market, branding, generating traffic and list building); it’s time for evaluation.

If you want to boost your conversions and make more sales online, you’ll have to consistently check on your internet traffic stats (with Google Analytics for instance) and your conversion rate (how many sign ups for my list per visitor? how many sales per sign up?)

“I Want To Create A Sales Website For My Business”

I remember when I started this blog (which was my first website ever) in October 2010, I had to learn all of these steps all by myself. In fact, I didn’t even know anything about online marketing. Today I encourage you to learn as much as possible… by yourself.

I know many people who always keep saying “I want to make money online” and “how do you do it, can you teach me how?” But most of these people are simply waiting for something that will never happen. I will never make you a millionaire if you’re not willing to simply GET STARTED.

If you’re someone who once asked me how you can create a website for your business and still haven’t done anything about that “dream” of yours, you’re the one with the problem. The internet is packed with (free) information. You will make money online if you’re willing to study that information and use it to your advantage.

Hopefully this blog post taught you how to create a sales website for your business, so that you can now use this marketing plan to turn your own website(s) into an online success story.

As a business owner it’s very important to know advantages of Mobile Commerce. Even despite the increasing popularity of the internet, many companies and business owners kept refusing to market their products or service online. If you’re one of them, then you certainly don’t want to make that mistake twice.

<img class="alignright" title="moblie commerce" src="http://jensholvoet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/moblie-commerce.jpg" alt="mobile commerce"width="292" height="172" />Mobile Commerce is not just a hyped-up trend, but already a proven high-converting method to advertise online. One of the main reasons for this is the popularity of smartphones and iPads.

The smartphone inherited its name from its multifunctional and, in addition, people have it with them all the time (which makes it the perfect method to pay).

Businesses who don’t take advantage of Mobile Commerce and Mobile Payment will lose out on a big group of potential customers.

Some Mobile Commerce Figures

Here is some interesting information regarding the entry of Mobile Commerce in Europe. All the information is coming from the independent website. www.mocom2020.com.

This study has been done in 7 European countries including more than a thousand performance campaigns.

Almost 10% of all Dutch E-Commerce sales are being done through a tablet or mobile phone. That’s a growth of 400% in 2012 in comparison with 2011 and the Netherlands had by far the highest growth.

9.1% of business in the Netherlands is being through mobile devices while the European average is 5.6%.

In the last quarter of 2012, the Mobile Commerce share in Europe averaged 5.6 percent, compared to 2.2% in the same quarter in 2011. In Germany the Mobile Commerce share grew by 105 percent, to a share of 5 percent.

In Poland the Mobile Commerce share of 1.2 percent in the last quarter of 2011 increased to 1.7 percent in the last quarter of 2012. Spain showed the lowest growth, only 72 percent compared to last year. Yet M-Commerce still compromises 6.2 percent of the total e-commerce business, according to the study.

The more tablets are circulating, the higher the preferences for these handy carriers in comparison to mobile phones.

The iPad, with its 54.2 percent, seems to be the most popular device to use for mobile purchases. The conversation rate is also much higher. The average conversation rate of an iPad is 2 percent while other mobile devices score around 0.5 percent on average.

There are now around two million tablets in the Netherlands and 1 out of 3 households shop with their tablet, usually in the evening.

What Are The Advantages Of Mobile Commerce

Before we had smartphones, mobile marketing used to be much more difficult. We could only use our mobile phone to call or text someone. So the mobile phone wasn’t really an innovative, let alone efficient, way to market a product or service.

<img class="aligncenter" title="advantages of mobile commerce" src="http://jensholvoet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/advantages-of-mobile-commerce.jpg" alt="mobile commerce"width="460" height="288" />

However, smartphones made it a lot easier to reach potential customers. Here are some advantages of Mobile Commerce:

the internet makes mobile advertising fast and easy

targeted advertising, tailored to the needs and wishes of potential customers

high conversion rate because people also use their smartphone to look for good deals online

variety: the advertiser can constantly make adjustments to his campaigns which is impossible with printed ads

Online Marketing And Mobile Commerce

The truth is that offline advertising is hardly efficient in this fast changing world. How many times have you purchased something because you saw an ad on the television or heard a commercial on the radio?

The internet has changed our lives. The internet also made it possible for advertisers to increase their sales by targeting their potential customers. In addition, people go and look for good deals on the internet while most of the offline advertising only serves as a method of exposure and branding.

Wise business owners and companies see what the current trends in internet land are. Google already adjusted their advertising service AdWords to this changing customer behavior. Advertisers can now target specifically based on which device is being used, region and time.

Mobile Commerce With FlexKom

FlexKom combined the online marketing world (E-Commerce) with Mobile Commerce and created a business model which offers everyone a win-win situation.

The customer gets the best deals in messages on his smartphone while the retail shop increases its sales volume and even earns income when that customer shops in another shop.

In short, FlexKom offers all the advantages of Mobile Commerce in combination with the never-ending popularity of the internet.
